To celebrate the end of the Hong Kong Festival, HKNZBA was delighted to host a Banquet Dinner at the Floating Pavilion, Viaduct Harbour on 28 August 2014. We were very happy to be able to work in collaboration with Tanisha Kemp and Verena Doolabh from Masterchef NZ 2014 for this event. The girls who finished in fourth place on the hit television show, specially designed a Cantonese-fusion menu for this event. Highlights from the menu included XO Broth with Cloudy Bay clams and steamed Chinese Red Date Puddings with Coconut Butterscotch Sauce.
Guests had the opportunity to hear about Tanisha and Verena’s incredible experience on the show while enjoying some delicious food. There was also a silent auction on the night with prizes from our sponsors Cathay Pacific, the Langham Hotel, Auckland, HKTDC and Estuary Art Awards Winner Wei Lun Ha. HKNZBA was very happy to raise $3,848.00 for St John New Zealand.
