Vicky Ha- The “Queen of Dumplings” is Founder and Director of Wellington based House of Dumplings NZ.
This year she celebrates 10 years in business and has picked several awards on the way including 2020 winner of the Frozen category in the NZ Artisan Food Awards and taking out the Supreme Award in 2021.
She also scooped up “Best Artisan Food and Drink” in the Capital Magazine’s Best of Wellington Awards in 2021.
Before moving to Wellington with her family as a teenager, Vicky grew up in Hong Kong making and eating dumplings with her mama where she learnt the value of fresh, flavoursome and hand crafted food. This was her inspiration when becoming a chef and launching her dumpling business in Wellington.
We are excited to have Vicky with us as our keynote speaker to share her inspiring story and learn how she grew her portable bike dumpling stall in Wellington to now supplying 150 supermarkets nationwide AND exporting to Hong Kong!
