HKNZBA celebrated the Hong Kong Festival on the 27 August by holding a Banquet Dinner at the Langham Auckland.
HKNZBA felt incredibly fortunate for Minister Hon Todd McClay’s attendance as the keynote speaker of the event. His presentation was insightful and interactive. Minister McClay is the Minister of Revenue, Minister for State Owned Enterprises, Associate Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Associate Minister of Trade.
Other highlights from the evening included the noodle-pulling performance, especially our Association’s President’s own attempt at making the noodles.
There was also a silent auction and a lucky draw, with prizes from our sponsors Cathay Pacific, the Langham Auckland, KVB Kunlun New Zealand Limited, Forest Harrison Lawyers, the Waitemata Honey Company, the Neonatal Trust, and HKETO. HKNZBA was incredibly pleased to raise $3250.00 for the Neonatal Trust, which provides support to families of premature or sick full-term babies as they make their journey through neonatal care, the transition home, and onwards.
