In October 2014, we had two successful seminars with Zespri’s Chief Operating Officer Simon Limmer in Auckland and Wellington. Mr Limmer gave great insight into Zespri’s ventures into China and the lessons that could learnt for businesses looking to expand into the China market. In particular, it was important to recognise the challenges in going into a foreign market and dealing with export regulations, as well as dealing with potential intellectual property issues. Mr Limmer also gave very in-depth information about the kiwifruit industry in New Zealand which guests found very interesting.
